Marjorie serving as a judge in kids’ playwriting competition!
Marjorie has been asked to judge some of the plays in a kids’ playwriting competition. Having previously served as the PR/Marketing Director for a theatre, been involved herself in theatre over the years, and having completed the Second City Chicago Advanced Sketch Writing Program, she feels uniquely qualified.
It doesn’t hurt that she’s been a swimming instructor and lifeguard for seventeen years, where she’s taught kids and supervised instructors.
She’s honored and she’s getting to work this weekend!
Something Dada names Marjorie its newest cast member!
Cleveland improvisation troupe Something Dada has named Marjorie Preston its newest cast member! She will begin rehearsing with them immediately and expects to slowly be worked into the shows, which are all ages and held every Friday and Saturday night.
Marjorie completes several projects for Cleveland clients
Due to confidentiality agreements, we can’t give you the clients’ names, but Marjorie has been racking up the hours on:
1) a new website section for a major hospital
2) following up on several press releases for a major library
3) helping a very successful local technology company make language for a sales kit a little less techie and a little more human!

Marjorie has begun taking voiceover classes with Cleveland-area performer Jean Zarzour. At the end of these sessions, Marjorie will have a digital demo done at The Reel Thing recording studio. More info on Jean can be found here.
Marjorie Joins “The Public Squares”/ “The University Circles”
Marjorie has been invited to join the sketch group “The Public Squares” and their companion improvisation group “The University Circles.” She will probably be more circle than square (more improv than sketch) but is ready to be a shape-shifter.
